My cat isn't using the litter box anymore!?

we have 3 cats, two use the box just fine, and she used to, but lately we'll find messes right outside the litter box and and recently she's moved to doing it in the dining room once in a while. We have a cat genie so it the box is cleaned 3-4 times a day. and all 3 cats are fixed. what can we do?
